WHAT:

Beautiful Beginning is a great way to nurture your child's interest in the game of chess. Your child will thrive in our supportive small group setting. Students will learn the moves of the pieces, all the rules, and be able to play a legal game of chess with friends and family members.

Session 1: January 18th - February 15th

Session 2: February 22nd - March 22nd

Session 3: April 12th - May 17th

WHAT:

Fantastic Foundation is perfect for students who already know the basic rules and are looking to acquire the necessary skills to be successful in tournament play. Students will learn basic tactics, strategy, checkmates, chess notation, and how to use a chess clock. Classmates will engage in open play under tournament conditions.

Session 2: February 22nd - March 22nd

Session 3: April 12th - May 17th

WHEN: Sundays, 2:30-5:00 PM

WHERE: Kent Recreation Center, 1115 Franklin Avenue, Kent

COST: $225 per session

WHAT:

Championship Challenge includes experienced tournament players or those who are competition ready. Sessions will include two USCF rated tournament games with analysis along with interactive lessons. Free one-year USCF membership included for non-members! Participants will be divided into groups by USCF rating or playing strength.
