Fantasy Camp

The Kent Parks & Recreation Fantasy Camp is designed to help children find a love of fantasy. Within this 4 week camp, there will be many activities including adventure journals, fencing, as well as teaching and learning moments for children to grow their understanding about the fantasy genre. Below is information about locations, dates and times, along with the cost and a registration link so you can sign up!

When: Mondays from June 9th - 30th, Thursdays from July 17th - August 7th

Time: Varies by day, see the below schedule

Who: Campers ages 6-10

Max Enrollment: 16 campers per session

Cost: One-time fee of $50

Registration: Closes on June 6th for the first camp and July 14th for the second camp

Week 1: Kent Free Library, 312 W Main St, Kent, OH 44240

  • Learn about the elements of the fantasy genre and how to find your next great read in this interactive session, which will include a snack and craft.

  • 5:30 - 7:00 pm

Week 2: Old Kent Jailhouse, 497 Middlebury Rd, Kent, OH 44240

  • Use your creativity to create any type of adventure book you would like, and you’ll be able to take it home with you and share.

  • 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Week 3: Kent Recreation Center, 1115 Franklin Ave, Kent, OH 44240

  • Learn how to fence so you can feel like a true sword fighter.

  • 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Week 4: Fred Fuller Pavilion 1, 601 Middlebury Rd, Kent, OH 44240

  • A surprise event that is sure to keep you excited!

  • 5:30 - 7:30 pm
