Democracy Day 2025

In accordance with Article XII, Section 12.05 of the Kent City Charter, notice is hereby given that the Kent City Council will conduct a Public Hearing to examine the impact on the City, state and nation of political influence resulting from campaign contributions by corporate entities.

DEMOCRACY DAY will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 319 S. Water St., Kent, Ohio and will be live-streamed on the City of Kent’s YouTube Channel. A link to view this meeting can be found on the City of Kent’s website at www.kentohio.gov. 

Any person wishing to be heard on the subject matter may appear at the time and place set forth above. Individuals are strongly encouraged to submit their comments to the Clerk of Council, in writing, for inclusion in the minutes of proceedings.
